André Rainho das Neves' practice covers capital markets and banking/fintech regulation, as well as M&A and venture capital transactions. He ha s extensive experience advising fintechs, investors, investment funds and other emerging growth companies in their structuring, financing, M&A, venture debt and structured financing transactions, and in fund formation in Brazil and abroad.
André graduated from Universidade d e São Paulo (USP), obtained a MSc degree in Political Economy of Development from the London School of Economics (LSE) (UK), and a PhD degree in Commercial Law from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP), having been visiting researcher at the Institute for Global Law & Policy of Harvard University (USA).
He is the author of "Entre a Racionalidade e a Realidade: a história da CVM e da Lei das S.A." (Quartier Latin, 2023). He was also a professor of the courses "Fintechs: regulações e inovações em serviços financeiros" organized by the BCB and by Instituto Propague under the Lift Learning Program 2021, and "Capital Markets and the Investment Funds Industry in Brazil" of the LL.M Business Law and Management at the Universidade de Fortaleza (Unifor) and guest speaker in the podcast "Fintech Regulation" organized b y the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC).
He was ranked (i) Rising Star Partner in the practice area of Investment Funds by IFLR1000 in 2024, (ii) Highly Recommended in the Private Equity and Valuable Practice in the Fund Formation categories of Leaders League 2024, and (iii) Up and Coming in the Investment Funds category of Chambers and Partners 2025.
