Marcelo Shima

Marcelo Shima Luize works in the areas of M&A and Venture Capital. He has extensive experience in various matters of corporate law. He has been working for almost 15 years on mergers and acquisitions (buy-side and sell-side), corporate restructuring, private equity, financing, venture capital, capital markets, corporate governance, and corporate disputes. He represents clients, both national and international, from various industries, including finance, technology, agribusiness, services, retail, and food.

Shima graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP), is a specialist in Corporate Law from Insper, has academic experience at the University of Munich, Germany (Ludwig-Maximilians), and holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law. He is currently a guest professor in the graduate program at Presbyterian University Mackenzie.
